Dean and Ruby's Cafe

Dean & Ruby's Café is an absolute gem! Their coffee is top-notch, and the donuts are fresh, fluffy, and full of flavor. What really stood out for me was the Pistachio Bloom Latte — it's a must-try! Smooth, slightly nutty, and perfectly balanced, it’s easily one of the best specialty lattes I’ve had. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff just make the whole experience even better. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

We stopped by for desserts after dining next door and we’re glad we found this gem! The environment was very welcoming (including children - I have a 5 and 8 year old boys), desserts look and taste wonderful, and drinks were on point. Our favorites are the mango ice cream (to die for!), Ube crinkles (my husband got very greedy with this dessert), and Ube ohh pala (a must have for coffee lovers)! While these were our favorites, we thoroughly enjoyed the other treats we had ranging from pistachio latte, dulce de leche latte, macaroons, and mock tails. To top it all off, Dean and Ruby are both friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the conversations and suggestions of what to try while in the area. During our short trip to Toronto, we returned on multiple occasions while staying in downtown which is a testament to how much we enjoyed the treats and good company. Highly recommend others to visit Dean & Ruby’s cafe!

The reviews were right! The owners were super nice and welcoming! Dean really does his best to accommodate everyone and if you have a specific or special request, he really goes the extra mile to make it happen. The pistachio latte was bomb, got to try my friend’s ube latte and it was also goooood. Dean even gave us free cake which was nice. I also took home a croissant, choco butternut crinkles, and their sausage overload for my family and they loved it! I will definitely come back and bring more people with me 10/10

this café was a fantastic experience! the strawberry iced matcha was delicious and fresh, the tuna empanada was crisp and flaky - not dry at all, as well as the decadent and tasty crème brûlée donut. one of the owners, dean, was very friendly and we shared a pleasant chat. the atmosphere was tidy, clean, and very cozy/modern with spacious seating's. totally recommend if you're in the area.

Such a cozy little spot! This has amazing Italian-style coffee and some really tasty Filipino snacks — the combo is unique and it totally works. I tried the tuna empanada with an iced Pistachio bloom latte it was perfect. Staff were super friendly and the vibe is relaxed and welcoming. Definitely a new favorite in the area! Thanks to Dean and Ruby they were so nice and accommodating too! I swear, their coffee's amazing you all won't be disappointed.

We’ve been exploring coffee shops in the city recently to find our go-to spot. This one stands out among them as best in all categories: the owners are friendly and courteous. Their shop is well lit, spacious and cozy with cafe music and best of all the coffee and chicken empanada I had was absolutely perfect! We’ll definitely return and you should definitely visit them.

i visited dean & rubys today and it was such a lovely spot! beautiful ambience, comfy cafe music, and natural lighting. the owner dean was such a kind person and gave us some insight on how he manages the cafe. he made the atmosphere very light and enjoyable! we got the pistachio bloom latte, iced matcha latte, as well as a creme brulee donut and all of them were delicious. dean told us exactly how he made them and it was a wonderful insight. overall, a lovely experience! a must stop if you are in the area for delicious cafe items and an excellent atmosphere.

Loved our visit to Dean and Ruby’s Cafe! The place has such a warm, relaxed vibe, and the owner made us feel really welcome from the moment we walked in. The food was fresh and full of flavor—definitely recommend the chicken empanada, eclair, pistachio filling donut, custard filling donut and our favourite Pistachio Bloom latte. You can tell they care about both the food and the people. Can’t wait to come back soon.
